Nehe
Nehe - The books say Nehe is common and it might occur on Oahu coast with a native environment. I've only seen Nehe on Kealia and Kaena point. Nehe is a coastal plant, but can grow at higher elevations.
Background Information

Location on Maui Waihe'e Coastal Dunes
Nehe
This species of Nehe is called melanthera integrifolia. It is located at Kaena Point. It resembles a small sunflower. Nehe is usually ground cover and rarely grows over a foot in height.
Nehe
This species of Nehe is called melanthera remyi. It is the size of a shrub. The location was near the coast but on the hiking trail. Some Nehe look similar to Ko'oko'olau and it is easy to make that mistake.
