Hawaiian Mint
Hawaiian Mint (Kapana) is easiest to tell when flowering. Flower looks like an angel. Easy to find near the summits of Ka'ala trail, Aiea trail, Poamoho trail.
Background Information
There are many endemic species of Hawaiian mint. The genus is Phyllostegia. Even though it is called a mint, there is no smell. Because there was lack of predators back in Ancient Hawaii, the Hawaiian mint seem to not have a need for the smell. Not sure what the Ancient Hawaiians used the plant for, but recently it has been used as an ornamental plant.
Phyllostegia grandiflora?
could be lantanoides as that species occurs in this area as well
